Comviva, a global provider of customer experience and data monetization solutions, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Southampton Delhi. This collaboration aims to strengthen industry-academia engagement and foster the development of future-ready digital talent in India.

Under the framework of its Comviva 2.0 vision, the company will collaborate with the University to co-develop initiatives focused on skills development, collaborative research, and community impact. The partnership seeks to bridge academic learning with real-world application, providing students with access to advanced technologies and exposure to current industry challenges.

As part of the engagement, Comviva will conduct structured programmes throughout the academic year. These include interactive sessions, industry briefings, and skill development workshops designed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and employability.

The University of Southampton, ranked among the top 100 universities globally (QS World University Rankings 2025), has recently established its Indian campus at the International Tech Park in Gurgaon. This marks the first international university to launch a physical presence in India under the country’s new regulatory framework for higher education.

Initial academic offerings at the Delhi campus will include undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business, computing, economics, and finance. The University plans to expand its curriculum in the coming years to include disciplines such as engineering, healthcare, social sciences, and technology. The partnership with Comviva was facilitated by the India Business Group, a strategic advisory firm supporting the University’s India market entry and stakeholder engagement efforts.

The collaboration also includes structured student engagement initiatives such as paid summer internships, on-campus placements, and access to Comviva’s graduate assessment process. Successful candidates will be eligible for full-time employment upon graduation, subject to performance and assessment criteria. In addition to workforce development, the partnership will support collaborative research and development, capacity-building activities, and initiatives focused on broader societal outcomes.

Rajesh Chandiramani, Chief Executive Officer of Comviva, stated “This partnership reflects Comviva’s long-term vision to integrate industry with academia and foster innovation. Through our collaboration with the University of Southampton Delhi, we aim to empower emerging talent, advance digital capabilities, and contribute to inclusive, knowledge-driven growth.”

Professor Andrew Atherton, Vice-President International and Engagement at the University of Southampton, commented:“Our agreement with Comviva underscores the University’s commitment to providing students with globally relevant, career-oriented learning experiences. The partnership will enhance academic outcomes and prepare students to succeed in competitive, technology-driven industries.”
