CM Mohan Yadav’s Japan Visit Focuses on Railway Tech & Investment Opportunities for Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav is on a four-day visit to Japan, where he has been engaging in detailed discussions aimed at strengthening ties between India and Japan. On Wednesday, he met with Yuji Fukasawa, Chair of the South Asia Committee at Keidanren and Chairman of East Japan Railway Company, to explore potential collaborations, particularly in Japan’s advanced railway technology.

Yuji Fukasawa expressed strong interest in visiting Madhya Pradesh and exploring avenues for collaboration, as the state continues to position itself as a prime investment hub for global companies. His interest follows a detailed discussion on investment opportunities with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Yadav at the Imperial Hotel in Japan. The meeting also included an insightful exchange on Japan’s advanced railway technology and its potential applications in the state.

Yadav, who is on a four-day visit to Japan, is actively engaging with key investors to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s business potential. On the second day of his visit, he met with Daiki Arai, Director of A&D Medical, who expressed serious interest in establishing a manufacturing facility in the state, potentially within this year. Yadav highlighted Ujjain’s 75-acre Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Park, along with the state government’s incentives, including highly subsidized land for large-scale industrial projects.

Earlier, Yadav also held discussions with Japan’s Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hisashi Matsumoto, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The talks focused on strengthening Indo-Japan ties and fostering cooperation at the state level, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to attracting Japanese investment and technology-driven partnerships.
