Clean Energy Fuels Corp (NASDAQ: CLNE) has announced several new and extended agreements with transportation, refuse, and transit fleet operators across the United States, reinforcing the continued adoption of renewable natural gas (RNG) as a lower-emission fuel for commercial transportation. The agreements cover both RNG fuel supply and fueling infrastructure support and involve fleets operating in trucking, municipal services, public transit, and airport transportation.

Clean Energy has extended its partnership with Ecology Transportation Services, a trucking operator based in Southern California. Under the new agreement, Ecology’s fleet of 150 RNG-powered trucks will receive an estimated 2.1 million gallons of RNG annually. The vehicles will utilize Clean Energy fueling stations located throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Waste management company Recology is also expanding its use of RNG. The company has upgraded its fueling station in Seattle and recently completed a new facility in Snohomish, Washington. Clean Energy will oversee operations and maintenance for both locations, supporting Recology’s refuse fleet operating in the greater Seattle region.

In addition, Clean Energy continues its long-standing partnership with WM, providing operational and maintenance support for more than 85 RNG fueling stations across the United States and Canada. These stations collectively supply fuel to approximately 8,000 WM refuse trucks powered by renewable natural gas.

Public transit agencies are also included in the latest agreements. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has extended its relationship with Clean Energy, awarding a new operations and maintenance contract to support its natural gas bus fleet. The agreement covers approximately five million gallons of fuel annually and supports more than 400 buses serving communities in the Washington metropolitan area.

Clean Energy has also entered into an operations and maintenance agreement with ABM Facility Services for three transit bus fueling stations serving the City of Phoenix. These stations supply RNG to 335 natural gas buses and dispense about 4.7 million gallons of fuel each year.

Additional supply agreements include fueling services for Arlington Transit (ART) in Virginia, which will use approximately 750,000 gallons of RNG annually for 78 buses, and an extended maintenance contract with the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, supporting 49 refuse vehicles.

At Nashville International Airport, Clean Energy will continue operating and maintaining the airport’s natural gas fueling station, providing roughly 350,000 gallons of fuel annually to shuttle buses and other fleet vehicles. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, agriculture and transportation together account for a significant portion of national greenhouse gas emissions. RNG is produced by capturing methane from organic waste sources such as agricultural operations and landfills and converting it into transportation fuel.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp is one of the leading providers of low-emission fuel solutions for the transportation sector in North America. The company focuses on reducing carbon emissions in transportation through the production and distribution of renewable natural gas (RNG), a sustainable fuel created by capturing methane generated from organic waste sources.

By supplying RNG, Clean Energy helps a wide range of vehicles—including airport shuttles, city buses, refuse trucks and heavy-duty freight vehicles—significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions. The company operates an extensive network of fueling stations across the United States and Canada, along with renewable natural gas production facilities located primarily at dairy farms, supporting the transition to cleaner transportation fuels
