In a significant step toward transforming enterprise IoT connectivity, Tata Communications has announced a strategic collaboration with Cisco. This alliance is set to revolutionize how businesses connect, manage, and scale their IoT devices globally—across industries and geographies.

As enterprises grow their connected operations, they face increasing complexity managing vast device fleets—ranging from smart vehicles to industrial sensors. Common challenges include dealing with multiple SIM vendors and hardware variations, fragmented provisioning systems, and a lack of seamless integration across different networks. These issues often hinder speed, drive up costs, and limit scalability.

To address this, Tata Communications will integrate its MOVE™ platform—an advanced global eSIM orchestration solution—with Cisco’s IoT Control Center, a cloud-based device management platform supporting over 270 million SIM-based IoT devices, including 100 million connected vehicles. With Tata Communications MOVE™ already powering more than 350 million eSIM operating systems across 200+ countries and territories, the new integration significantly enhances enterprise connectivity. It allows businesses to seamlessly activate and manage devices across multiple networks, SIM providers, and eSIM technologies while ensuring a consistent and reliable user experience.

Enterprises can accelerate time-to-market with a unified connectivity framework that provides comprehensive visibility and control across their IoT deployments. By reducing integration complexity and eliminating vendor lock-in, the solution enables organizations to scale efficiently and drive innovation with greater flexibility. This partnership represents a major shift in enterprise IoT, bringing greater control, agility, and efficiency to global deployments.

Marco Bijvelds, Vice President and Global Head of Tata Communications MOVE™, commented “The evolution of eSIM technology is reshaping enterprise connectivity. By combining the intelligence of our global IoT infrastructure with Cisco’s robust device management platform, we’re enabling businesses to scale smarter, faster, and more securely. This collaboration lays the foundation for a more connected and agile future.”

Industries such as transportation, logistics, and manufacturing stand to benefit the most. Whether it’s a logistics provider activating fleet devices across borders without switching SIMs, or a utility company monitoring assets across private and public networks, the partnership promises streamlined operations and cost efficiencies.

Masum Mir, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Provider Mobility, added “As IoT use cases become more complex, enterprises need scalable, automated solutions. eSIM is central to that transformation. Tata Communications has long been a trusted Cisco partner, and this collaboration marks a crucial step in managing the full lifecycle of connected devices—from production to deployment and beyond.”

Together, Tata Communications and Cisco are aiming to set a new industry standard—driving interoperability, automation, and intelligence across the IoT ecosystem. This joint initiative will help global enterprises unlock new revenue streams, innovate faster, and optimize their digital operations.
