Chetak, a prominent name in the electric two-wheeler industry, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB), a welfare initiative under the Ministry of Home Affairs. This partnership, initiated on September 18, 2024, aims to make Chetak’s 2903 electric scooter model available to KPKB beneficiaries across India.

By forming this alliance, Chetak has positioned itself as one of the first brands in the electric two-wheeler segment to be listed with KPKB, a significant step in expanding its reach to a specialized consumer base. Under the terms of the agreement, Chetak Experience Centres (CECs) spread across the nation will now offer the Chetak 2903 model at exclusive, discounted prices to eligible KPKB personnel.

The beneficiaries can avail themselves of this offer by visiting their nearest Chetak dealer and presenting an authorization letter from either the Master Bhandar or a Subsidiary Bhandar, along with a valid departmental identity card. Once the authorization is verified, the personnel can proceed with the purchase of the vehicle from any authorized Chetak dealership.

The Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar was established in 2006 by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to provide goods and services at special prices to personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This includes members of the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Assam Rifles.

Additionally, the initiative also extends its benefits to those serving in Central Police Organizations (CPOs), such as the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), and National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). Chetak’s 2903 model is specifically engineered for urban commuting and features a robust frame constructed from premium materials designed for longevity and consistent performance.

Eric Vas, the President of Chetak’s Urbanite Business Unit, expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative, remarking, “We are excited to join hands with the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar, enabling us to offer the Chetak 2903 electric scooter to the dedicated personnel serving in various departments across India. This collaboration allows us to extend our product’s convenience, dependability, and environmentally sustainable features to a broader audience.”

This alliance between Chetak and KPKB represents a pivotal step in Chetak’s ongoing commitment to promoting green transportation while offering practical mobility solutions. Through this partnership, Chetak aims to contribute to a more sustainable future, empowering personnel who play a crucial role in maintaining national security and public safety.
