Chemplast Sanmar Ltd announced today that its Custom Manufactured Chemicals Division (CMCD) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with an undisclosed global agrochemical innovator. The agreement focuses on the manufacture of a new pipeline active ingredient (AI) and spans a period of five years, with commercial supplies expected to commence from calendar year 2025. This new product will be produced in Phase 2 of CMCD’s newly developed multi-purpose production block, which is scheduled for commissioning within this quarter, according to the company’s statement.
Krishna Kumar Rangachari, Deputy Managing Director of Chemplast Sanmar Ltd, commented on this milestone: “We have signed another LOI for the supply of an advanced intermediate for a new pipeline AI. This is the fourth LOI we have signed since we commenced our expansion journey in this division.
