ChangAn Automobile, a leader in intelligent low-carbon mobility technology, unveiled its new energy and smart technologies at a brand launch event in Germany on March 21. As part of the Dubhe Plan 2.0, ChangAn has made major strides in intelligent driving, connectivity, and user interaction, propelling the development of smart mobility solutions aimed at meeting the increasing demand for eco-friendly transportation in Europe. These innovations offer efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent solutions to support a sustainable future in mobility.
Since launching Dubhe Plan 1.0 in 2018, ChangAn has been at the forefront of the intelligent vehicle revolution, with a focus on pioneering the next era of smart transportation. Under the first phase of the plan, the company achieved significant milestones, including 100% vehicle connectivity across all new models from 2020, the integration of advanced driver assistance systems in new vehicles, and becoming a pioneer in L3 autonomous driving technology, already certified in China. Additionally, it introduced the XiaoAn smart voice assistant, which now serves 4.68 million users, enabling voice-activated in-car functions.
Now, with Dubhe Plan 2.0, ChangAn is pushing the boundaries of intelligent driving, networking, and interaction technologies, shaping the future of smart mobility. The company envisions a future where vehicles are powered by AI and provide a deeply intuitive and personalized driving experience. Its goal is to make intelligent vehicles accessible to all, driven by a strategy that combines independent innovation with collaborative development. To achieve this, ChangAn is implementing four major technological upgrades to offer Europe more efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent mobility options.
Starting in 2025, ChangAn will cease the development of non-intelligent products, reinforcing its commitment to a smart vehicle transformation. Simultaneously, the company is increasing its investments in the research and development of next-generation battery technologies.
Among these advancements is a new all-solid-state battery developed and tested in China, which boasts an energy density of up to 400 Wh/kg, offering a range of over 1,500 kilometers on a full charge. Through AI-driven remote diagnostics, safety is enhanced by 70% based on data from tests conducted in China, reducing the risks associated with liquid batteries.
A prototype of the solid-state battery is expected by the end of the year, with installation and testing set for 2026 and mass production slated for 2027. Additionally, ChangAn has introduced a leading central ring network architecture with software-defined access (SDA), now in mass production and featured in the CHANG-AN E07 model.
ChangAn’s global R&D team of 13,000 experts from more than 30 countries is leading the integration of cutting-edge technologies into its vehicles, delivering intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions worldwide. At the launch event, the company showcased the European debut of its DEEPAL S07, highlighting advanced features that enhance comfort, safety, and convenience.
The vehicle includes a 15.6-inch adjustable touchscreen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD). Safety features include a 360-degree camera, driving recorder, and transparent chassis view, while intelligent gesture recognition and customizable scene modes enhance the overall user experience. As ChangAn accelerates its entry into the European market, the company is dedicated to promoting low-carbon, sustainable travel and leading the future of transportation with technological innovation, providing European customers with intelligent and green travel solutions.
