Chaitanya Projects Completes 4-Lane Coal Corridor Road in Odisha

Chaitanya Projects Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., has announced the successful completion of a dedicated 4-lane Coal Corridor Road from Bankibahal to Bhedabahal (SH 10) in Sundargarh, Odisha. This new road spans 7 kilometers and has been constructed with concrete instead of bitumen, costing ₹277 crore.

The corridor aims to streamline coal transportation, benefiting 2.8 lakh villagers in Hemgir, Lefripada, Tangarpali, Bilashakara, and Sadar. It reduces noise, dust pollution, and accidents caused by heavy coal-carrying vehicles.

Mr Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Founder and Managing Director of Chaitanya Projects Consultancy, emphasized the road’s role in enhancing efficiency and saving costs associated with delays. He highlighted the project’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation.

“We are proud to contribute to Odisha’s infrastructure and align with global sustainability goals,” Mr. Sinha said. “This project enhances connectivity and supports a resilient future for communities and industries.”

This initiative, covering 30.811 kilometers, was inaugurated on April 23, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the state’s infrastructure development. The project, funded by Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd and constructed by Odisha’s R & B department, underscores the government’s commitment to economic growth, safety, and environmental protection.
