CG Power and Industrial Solutions will buy a 55% stake in G.G.Tronics India Private Limited for Rs 319.38 crore. G.G.Tronics, based in Bengaluru, designs and makes electronic safety systems for railways. One of their key products is the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), also known as ‘KAVACH.’ They are currently getting the latest version (4.0) of this system approved by Indian Railways.

G.G.Tronics also makes digital axle counters, which are used in railway signaling and certified by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO). These products meet high safety standards. The company also offers verification and validation services for railway signaling systems.

This purchase fits CG Power’s plan to grow its railway products by adding related technologies. The combination of CG Power’s experience in manufacturing and G.G.Tronics’ expertise in railway safety systems will help them pursue new rail safety projects like ‘KAVACH.’
