This follows its earlier ₹250 crore investment in Phase 1, bringing the total project investment to ₹890 crore. This significant expansion further strengthens CCI Group’s role as a key player in India’s warehousing and supply chain ecosystem.
The Phase 2 expansion is divided into two segments: Phase 2A, a standard logistics facility scheduled to be operational by mid-2025, and Phase 2B, a built-to-suit (BTS) facility designed to cater to specific industry requirements. With Chennai emerging as a major logistics and supply chain hub in South India, the new facility will cater to industries such as E-commerce, Automotive, FMCG, and Manufacturing. It will be built to global standards, featuring FM2 flooring for enhanced load-bearing capacity, automated shutters, and a passive air ventilation system ensuring six air changes per hour for superior air quality.
The facility is designed to optimize space utilization, enabling clients to efficiently implement heavy-load racking systems and high-clearance bays for smooth operations. While it does not include pre-built temperature-controlled zones, businesses can customize them under the Tenant Improvement Scheme (TIS). Built on a plug-and-play model, the facility allows for quick deployment and scalability of operations.
CCI Group is strengthening its commitment to sustainability by incorporating a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to recycle wastewater for gardening and flushing, installing solar power systems to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources, and integrating skylights to maximize natural lighting and enhance energy efficiency.For safety, the facility will be equipped with advanced fire protection systems, including hydrants, sprinklers, and fire alarms.
