Carrum Mobility, a fleet management company under the CarDekho Group, has expanded its collaboration with Uber to oversee operations for the ride-hailing platform’s luxury segment, Uber Black. As part of the rollout phase, Carrum has already introduced over 250 high-end SUVs in key metropolitan areas including Delhi NCR and Mumbai. This strategic move underscores Carrum’s commitment to elevating urban mobility through efficient fleet oversight, advanced technology, and driver professionalism.
“We’re excited to deepen our association with Uber as we manage fleet operations for their premium category,” said Karan Jain, Founder of Carrum Mobility. “This next step in our partnership highlights our shared vision of delivering a top-tier ride experience while reinforcing our capability as a trusted fleet partner.”
Echoing the sentiment, Aditya Kapoor, Head of Supply and Electrification at Uber India and South Asia, added, “Uber Black is designed to deliver an elevated ride experience. With Carrum’s operational expertise and premium fleet management, we are confident in consistently meeting high service standards expected by our riders.”
To maintain excellence in service delivery, Carrum has implemented rigorous daily vehicle checks and real-time monitoring of driver and fleet performance through tech-enabled tools. The company has also introduced structured training programs, driver grooming standards, and strict operating protocols to ensure a consistent experience.
Drivers selected for Uber Black undergo specific onboarding processes, including uniform guidelines and customer service training. Carrum also runs performance-based recognition programs to encourage quality service and driver engagement. This latest expansion aims to set new benchmarks in luxury urban transportation, combining Carrum’s fleet innovation with Uber’s commitment to customer experience.
Established in 2024 by Karan Jain, Carrum Mobility focuses on transforming fleet operations in India through sustainable practices and smart technology. Supported by the CarDekho Group, Carrum is building a new model for urban fleet services tailored to evolving mobility needs.
