Calcom Vision Limited, a leading provider of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) specializing in energy-efficient electronics and consumer products, has announced the establishment of its fully owned subsidiary, Calcom Astra Private Limited. The new subsidiary aims to strengthen the company’s export capabilities and expedite its global expansion, particularly in the USA and Europe.
Calcom Astra will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s presence in these key markets by focusing on a comprehensive approach to exports, sourcing, and vendor partnerships. The move is in response to the changing global trade landscape and the increasing demand from international customers.
To lead this strategic initiative, Rajat Behal has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Calcom Astra. With over 25 years of experience in the electronics and lighting sectors, Mr. Behal brings a wealth of expertise in global business scaling, having worked with major companies from the US, Europe, and Japan. His goal will be to develop Calcom Astra into a robust export-driven arm of the organization. He holds a Master’s in Operations Management from IGNOU and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from Pune University.

The company specializes in energy-efficient electronics and consumer goods. Calcom has a rich portfolio, including calculators, televisions, hand mixers, vacuum cleaners, and more, for leading brands such as Panasonic, Osram, Bajaj, USHA, Opple Lighting, Amazon, and HPL Electric & Power.
In 2009, Calcom expanded into lighting electronics, becoming one of the largest suppliers of lighting products to multinational companies.
