BVK Group, a leading Indian conglomerate in woven mesh and filtration solutions, has completed the takeover of GKD India from Germany’s GKD Group. The move concludes a decade-long joint venture, with the entity now rebranded as WMW Industries Ltd.

Formed in 2011, GKD India combined German precision engineering with cost-efficient Indian manufacturing, building a reputation for high-performance woven filtration mesh and fabrics for complex industrial applications. With the latest acquisition, BVK Group now holds 100% equity in the business.

The transition, finalized in the previous fiscal year, was mutually agreed upon by both family-owned companies to independently pursue their respective growth strategies. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

“This transition reflects our readiness to independently scale operations, invest in smart manufacturing, expand our customer base in India, and strengthen our global presence,” said Harsh Khaitan, Director, BVK Group.

As WMW Industries, the company now becomes India’s largest integrated woven mesh solutions provider, holding certifications including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45000. A new LEED Platinum-rated manufacturing facility is scheduled to open in November 2025, further enhancing its capacity to deliver sustainable, customized solutions across sectors such as energy, automotive, industrial filtration, architecture, and solid-liquid separation technologies.

BVK Group is a diversified Indian conglomerate with interests spanning technical manufacturing, information technology, real estate, and education for specially abled children.
