Brookfield Properties will utilize renewable energy from its solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to supply green power to four office campuses in the Delhi-NCR region. In a statement released on Tuesday, Brookfield Properties announced that it has “secured renewable power from Brookfield’s Bikaner Solar Power Project,” marking its first collaboration in India under the Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) bilateral framework.
As a result, tenants at the Delhi-NCR campuses will now receive 40% of their energy from renewable sources. This initiative affects four locations: Candor TechSpace in Sector 48 and Sector 21 in Gurugram, along with Candor TechSpace in Sector 62 and Sector 135 in Noida.
This move is part of the Brookfield India Real Estate Trust portfolio and is projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 20,000 tonnes annually. The company stands as a leading global developer and operator in the real estate sector.
