In the lead-up to its grand 100th-anniversary celebrations, Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE), Cuttack is hosting a thought-provoking seminar titled “The Future of Work: Adapting Changing Landscape”. This event, scheduled for 12th October 2023, is one of the many planned as part of BOSE’s centenary events, celebrating a legacy of technical excellence.
With a rich history of training over 1,000 “War Technicians” under the watchful eye of Lord Wavell, the then Viceroy of India, during World War II, BOSE stands as a symbol of excellence and dedication in the realm of technical education. The institution, originally established by the then Government of Bihar and Odisha, has remained a cornerstone for aspiring technical minds in the region.
This seminar promises engaging discussions from a panel of esteemed experts from the industry and government. The event will be inaugurated by Mr. G Reghu IAS, Director of Technical Education Odisha. Attendees will gain insights from notable speakers such as Mr. Hari Shanker, Managing Editor of Machine Maker, Mr. Subrat Kumar Kanungo of Kundryl (An IBM Company), Mr. Shantanu Rath of Odisha Urban Academy, and Mr. Narayan Mitra of Imfa Limited.

“Odisha is recognized globally for its skilled manpower. As BOSE Cuttack navigates its centennial year, we are focused on further enriching our contributions to the nation and the world. This seminar and our subsequent events aim to inspire our students and collaborators to be at the forefront of technological advancements,” said Dr. Hrishikesh Mohanty, Principal of BOSE Cuttack.
In addition to the illuminating talks, the seminar will witness the presentation of the Smt Nisamani Devi and Shri Srinibas Misra Meritorious Award, with the day wrapping up with an address by Mr. Gangadhar Sahu of SDTE and a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Hrishikesh Mohanty.
