Bosch Limited, a key player in technology and services, announced its Q3 FY25 results, achieving total revenue from operations of ₹4,466 crore (€495 million), reflecting a 6.2% growth compared to the same period last year. The growth was primarily driven by increased service income from the development of automotive components for major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding exceptional items, stood at ₹665 crore (€74 million), representing 14.9% of total revenue and marking an 8.6% growth year-on-year. Including exceptional items, PBT reached ₹618 crore (€69 million), which is 13.8% of total revenue. A provision of ₹47 crore was recorded as an exceptional item during the quarter. The Profit After Tax (PAT), including exceptional items, was ₹458 crore (€51 million), amounting to 10.3% of revenue.

Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of Bosch Group India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, stated, “In this quarter, Bosch has focused on innovation and customer-centric solutions. Despite challenges, the Mobility Aftermarket and Beyond Mobility divisions achieved notable growth, sustaining double-digit profitability and highlighting our adaptability to market demands.”

In Q3 FY25, Bosch Limited’s automotive segment saw a 1.6% growth in product sales compared to the previous year, despite a 1.8% decline in the Power Solutions business, which comprises 71% of total automotive sales. This decline was primarily due to reduced demand in the Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) segment, driven by a slowdown in economic activity. On the other hand, the Mobility Aftermarket business experienced an 8.8% increase in sales, fueled by heightened demand for diesel systems, automotive batteries, and lubricants.

Meanwhile, the Beyond Mobility segment also showed positive results, with net sales rising by 1.5%, primarily due to continued growth in the Power Tools sector. These performance highlights reflect Bosch’s ongoing adaptability and success in responding to evolving market conditions across different business sectors.

In a significant move, Bosch Limited is transferring its Video, Access, Intrusion, and Communication Systems business to Keenfinity India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Bosch Security Systems B.V., Netherlands, as part of the global restructuring of its Building Technologies division. The transaction, approved by the Board of Directors, is valued at no less than ₹595 crore.

Mudlapur added, “The Bharat Mobility Global Expo provided a platform to foster collaborations and showcase our portfolio of hardware, software, and services aimed at advancing safe, sustainable, and innovative mobility. We look forward to strengthening our focus on emerging technologies and driving growth in the upcoming quarter.”
