BorgWarner, a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions, has finalized extensions to four exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system contracts with a prominent North American automotive manufacturer. These systems support multiple passenger and light commercial vehicle platforms, serving both combustion and hybrid powertrain applications. Production of the EGR components—valves, coolers, and modules—is scheduled to continue through 2029.
Designed to enhance resistance to thermal fatigue, BorgWarner’s EGR systems contribute to lower nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and improved fuel efficiency by recirculating exhaust gases into the intake stream, thereby reducing combustion temperatures. The company’s integrated suite of modules, valves, and coolers is engineered to function cohesively, delivering a complete and efficient EGR solution.
