Bluebird Solar is set to enhance its solar module production capacity at its Greater Noida plant in Uttar Pradesh, scaling up from 1.2 GW to 2.5 GW. The company aims to have the expanded facility fully operational by October 2025.
This move is part of Bluebird Solar’s broader strategy to align with India’s growing push for clean energy. The expansion supports national programs such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM, as well as the government’s focus on strengthening domestic manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
“This step forward is about more than just numbers — it’s about delivering larger impact in the renewable energy space,” said Akshay Mittal, Director at Bluebird Solar. “The upgraded plant will feature next-generation automation, tighter quality checks, and energy-efficient technologies to support large-scale and rooftop solar needs.”
The enhanced production line will be fully automated and equipped with advanced quality systems to meet top-tier industry standards. It will continue to manufacture solar PV modules that are certified under ALMM, BIS, and IEC norms. The expansion is also expected to generate over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, reinforcing the company’s role in supporting both clean energy goals and economic development.
Bluebird Solar, a subsidiary of Bluebird Stabilizers, has rapidly emerged as a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector. Established with a vision to revolutionize solar energy, the company has transitioned from trading solar products to manufacturing high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules. Currently, Bluebird Solar ranks among the top five solar panel manufacturers in North India and is recognized for its advanced M10 bifacial half-cut solar modules, which come with an industry-leading 30-year linear performance warranty
