Bengaluru-based e-mobility company BLive is setting ambitious goals for the current financial year, with plans to expand its fleet by adding 10,000 electric vehicles to its platform. The company, which primarily facilitates connections between fleet operators and firms reliant on online delivery apps, currently boasts a fleet of nearly 5,000 electric vehicles.
Of these, approximately 1,000 fall under its BLive EZY program, a unique initiative that allows individuals to own electric vehicle fleets, which are then rented out to various businesses. BLive is not only focusing on increasing the number of two-wheelers in its fleet but also plans to introduce three-wheelers to its offerings. This strategic expansion is part of the company’s broader goal to quadruple its revenue, targeting Rs 100 crore by March 2026.
At present, fleet rentals represent the company’s primary revenue stream. As BLive eyes further growth, it aims to systematically onboard e-commerce food aggregators to purchase fleet vehicles, which will be deployed with gig economy workers, especially as the e-commerce sector continues to penetrate non-metro regions.
Investors such as DNA Networks, LetsVenture, Trescon, and Mumbai Angels have collectively invested around USD 2.5 million in BLive. Now, the company is gearing up for an additional USD 5 million in Series A funding. This round of investment is expected to attract both current and new investors, including family offices of large corporations, micro VCs, sector-focused VCs, and strategic investors.
The funds raised will be directed towards enhancing BLive’s technological infrastructure across five key states, with a focus on Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. In a conversation with Autocar Professional, Samarth Kholkar, CEO and Co-founder of BLive, emphasized the company’s intention to solidify its leadership in the two-wheeler rental market while also venturing into three-wheeler EV rental services and first- and mid-mile logistics.
Samarth further explained, “Our plug-and-play capability significantly enhances fleet efficiency and revenue potential. We offer fleet operators access to cost-effective fleet financing options and a broad selection of multi-brand electric vehicles, all supported by our comprehensive Smart Fleet Management Solution, which is designed to boost both operational efficiency and fleet utilization.”
Additionally, BLive operates a network of centralized EV Hubs, which function as service and charging stations for its fleet operators. The company currently has over 70 partnerships and a growing base of fleet operators across five cities, reflecting its expanding presence in the e-mobility sector.
