BL Agro subsidiary, B L Kamdhenu Farms Ltd, has entered into a strategic partnership with Swedish dairy technology leader DeLaval, committing to a significant Rs 1,500 crore investment aimed at transforming the dairy sector in India.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the second day of the World Food India 2024 event, with Sweden’s Ambassador to India, Jan Thesleff, in attendance as the chief guest. According to a statement from BL Agro, this partnership will focus on promoting sustainable dairy practices and developing a zero-waste economy, particularly in cattle breeding and advanced dairy technologies.
The collaboration will integrate cutting-edge farming solutions, including milking systems, farm management tools, and enhanced cow comfort technologies, to optimize the entire milk value chain, from feed management to waste disposal. The goal is to create a circular economy that supports both economic growth and environmental sustainability.
