On the opening day of BioAsia 2024, approximately 200 delegates were divided into two groups for a guided tour of Hyderabad’s Genome Valley. The groups visited the IKP Knowledge Park, an incubation center, and the Neovantage Multitalented Facility to explore the facilities and potential business opportunities.

BioAsia emerges with a vision to elevate, enrich, and champion fresh innovations, groundbreaking discoveries, and effective solutions in the biotechnology sector. It provides a vibrant global platform that brings together key stakeholders such as Biotech & Biopharma Companies, research institutions, academia, investors, service providers, policymakers, regulators, and analysts.

BioAsia is dedicated to driving industry growth by facilitating collaborations, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, and by facilitating knowledge and experience sharing among global industry players. It aims to promote innovation and initiatives through awards and recognitions, advocate for industry issues to policymakers, and chart the biotechnology roadmap.

The tour also included visits to Bharat Biotech, Biological E Limited, Sai Life Sciences, IKP, and other multi-tenanted facilities in the Genome Valley. This visit showcased the advancements in the life sciences industry and the robust ecosystem developed in Telangana to meet industry needs. The 21st edition of BioAsia has been drawing attention from both domestic and international stakeholders in the life sciences and healthcare industries.

The global life sciences and healthcare community is particularly eager to gain insights and discuss future directions in healthcare and technology, under the theme ‘Transforming Life Sciences with Data and AI’ at BioAsia 2024. BioAsia has seen a growing interest from industry and corporate sectors in supporting the conference through meaningful discussions aimed at making India a new global innovation hub in the life sciences industry.

Companies from various segments of the life sciences industry have shown their commitment to ignite and expedite development conversations. While Novartis, Bristol Myers Squibb, Reddy’s, Laurus Labs, and Sai Lifesciences have graciously supported BioAsia 2024 as its Principal Industry Hosts, Medtronic, Aragen, CuraTeq, and Hetero have also joined as Industry Co-hosts.

Over the years, the event has greatly benefited from its distinguished participants, including numerous Nobel Prize laureates, recipients of the Lasker Award, and prominent industry leaders such as Bill Gates (Chair of the Gates Foundation), Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), Alex Gorsky (Executive Chairman of Johnson & Johnson), Dr Vas Narasimhan (CEO of Novartis), and Geoff Martha (Chairman & CEO of Medtronic).

Additionally, the event has hosted country ministers and delegates from Asia, America, Africa, and Europe. The first edition of BioAsia post-pandemic, held in 2023, was exceptionally successful, drawing virtual participation from more than 3000 global attendees representing over 50 countries.
