Siam Cement BigBloc Construction, a joint venture between BigBloc Construction Ltd and Thailand’s SCG International Corporation, has received a significant order from Tata Projects Ltd to supply materials for Micron’s semiconductor facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The order involves the supply and installation of 100 mm AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) panels at the Micron India unit.
Valued at approximately Rs 4.5 crore, the project is set to be completed within three months. The AAC panels, reinforced with steel and measuring between 2 to 6 meters, will be provided by Siam Cement BigBloc, according to the company statement.
This marks a key milestone for the JV, as it is the first major order since operations began at its Rs 65-crore AAC wall plant in Kheda, Gujarat. The facility boasts an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh cubic meters for large-format AAC wall products.
