Biesse India, the largest subsidiary of the Biesse Group and a global leader in machinery for processing materials such as wood, glass, stone, plastics, composites, and metals, has announced the launch of its new Material Hubs in six major cities—Sydney, Osaka, Lyon, Porto, and Toronto. This strategic expansion marks a key step in Biesse’s ongoing mission to reshape its role in the evolving world of manufacturing.
The Material Hubs serve as experiential spaces where visitors can interact with Biesse’s latest technologies and explore its expanded machinery lineup through both physical demonstrations and digital engagement tools. These hubs showcase Biesse’s redesigned product portfolio, which delivers enhanced performance, improved user interfaces, and broader capabilities across all material categories—with a particular emphasis on innovations for stone and glass processing.
Featuring a unified Human Machine Interface across machines, the portfolio streamlines production workflows and elevates user experience. The official launch, titled Embrace the Evolution, took place simultaneously on March 26, 2025, across all hubs, blending international influences with local culture to highlight Biesse’s global identity.
Sayeed Ahmed, CEO of Biesse India, emphasized the impact of these hubs on industries ranging from furniture to aerospace, noting their role in reducing emissions and fostering cross-border collaboration. Plans are underway to establish a similar hub in India by mid-2026, with Biesse already expanding its showroom in the country from 700 to 2,500 square meters—one of the largest of its kind, opening mid-2025. Additionally, Biesse launched the Biesse International Design Award in partnership with POLI.design from the Politecnico di Milano, inviting students and designers to submit original multi-material object concepts to be featured in the hubs. The design and experience of these new spaces were developed in collaboration with Il Prisma, an architecture firm with Italian roots, creating open, future-ready environments that transcend traditional showroom and trade fair experiences.
Founded in Italy in 1969 and listed on the Euronext STAR segment of the Italian Stock Exchange, Biesse continues to support key sectors such as furniture, construction, automotive, and aerospace. With 80% of its revenue coming from international markets, Biesse maintains a global footprint through four manufacturing campuses, over 30 showrooms, and operations in more than 160 countries—powered by a team of 4,200 professionals dedicated to unlocking the full potential of every material.
