Bhilwara Energy Limited to Invest 750 Cr in LNJ GREENPET

LNJ Bhilwara’s REPLUS & TACC Lead India’s Clean Mobility

Bhilwara Energy Limited has announced the launch of LNJ GREENPET, a cutting-edge B2B food-grade PET resin manufacturing plant located on 95 acres in Rajasthan, which will generate over 700 job opportunities. Bhilwara Energy Limited has revealed plans to invest 750 crore in the development of LNJ GREENPET, a cutting-edge B2B food-grade PET resin manufacturing facility located in Tonk district, Rajasthan.

The plant, covering 95 acres, is poised to become India’s largest single-location bottle-to-bottle recycled PET (rPET) resin production unit. Scheduled to begin operations in September 2026, the facility will have the capacity to recycle 20 million PET bottles daily and produce 100 kilotons of food-grade rPET resin annually. This project marks the company’s second major venture in PET recycling, following the successful establishment of the Recycled Polyester Fibre (RCPF) facility in 2014, which recycles 6 million PET bottles daily.

The new plant will provide significant advantages in low-cost bottle procurement and benefit from advanced technical expertise, further strengthening Bhilwara Energy’s commitment to sustainability and circular economy practices. LNJ GREENPET will incorporate state-of-the-art recycling technology, ensuring high-quality, efficient production that meets global compliance standards. The facility is in the process of obtaining EFSA, US FDA, and FSSAI certifications to meet stringent safety and quality regulations. LNJ GREENPET aims to produce premium-grade resin for industries in packaging and FMCG sectors, supporting the nation’s net-zero goals. As a subsidiary of Bhilwara Energy Limited, LNJ GREENPET will play a vital role in expanding the group’s footprint in sustainable and innovative recycling practices.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director of Bhilwara Energy Limited, commented, “Our goal is to build a world-class rPET resin facility that addresses the industry’s evolving demands and supports India’s net-zero ambitions. The success of the RCPF unit in 2014 set a benchmark, and we believe Indian industries must lead in circular economy practices. LNJ GREENPET is another significant step toward sustainability, highlighting the importance of plastic recycling for effective waste management.”

This B2B initiative is expected to incorporate the latest recycling technology to ensure top-tier quality, efficiency, and global compliance. The plant is in the process of securing EFSA, US FDA, and FSSAI certifications, ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality standards. LNJ GREENPET will produce high-quality resin to support industries in packaging and FMCG sectors.
