BHEL and ONGC Partner to Advance Renewable Energy Initiatives

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on joint projects in the New and Renewable Energy sector. The partnership will focus on developing and implementing technologies such as fuel cells, electrolysers, and battery energy storage systems, as per a stock exchange filing.

This initiative aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, leveraging the strengths of both organizations to accelerate innovation in the clean energy landscape. The MoU was signed in the presence of Bani Varma, Director (Industrial Systems & Products) and Additional Charge Director (Engineering, Research & Development), BHEL, and Arunangshu Sarkar, Director (Strategy and Corporate Affairs), ONGC, along with other senior officials.

“This collaboration represents a critical step in supporting India’s renewable energy targets and fostering the adoption of sustainable energy solutions,” the statement noted.
