Bharat Forge Receives CCI Approval for Acquisition of AAM India

Bharat Forge Limited has obtained approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for its proposed acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Corporation Private Limited, as per a regulatory filing on April 23, 2025. This approval comes six months after Bharat Forge initially announced the signing of a Share Purchase Agreement on October 17, 2024, to acquire full ownership of AAM India. The transaction is still pending the fulfillment of other conditions outlined in the agreement.

In the filing, Tejaswini Chaudhari, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Bharat Forge, stated, “The Competition Commission of India has granted approval for the proposed acquisition through its letter dated April 22, 2024.” The company is awaiting the CCI’s detailed order.
