Bharat Electronics Secures Contracts Totaling ₹1,155 Crore

Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Company, has announced winning multiple contracts worth ₹1,155 crore. Among these, BEL has secured an ₹850 crore order from Cochin Shipyard for an indigenous multi-function radar in the X band. This radar, designed by the DRDO and manufactured by BEL, is intended to detect, acquire, and track airborne targets, enhancing the protection of naval ships.

In addition, BEL has received an order valued at ₹305 crore for various systems including navigational complex systems for ships, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control systems, gun control systems, spares, and services.

With these recent contracts, BEL’s total order value for the first five months of the current financial year reaches ₹7,075 crore. For the financial year 2024, BEL had previously won orders amounting to ₹35,400 crore.

In August, BEL also reported securing orders worth ₹695 crore since its last update on July 12. Bharat Electronics is set to join the Nifty 50 index, with its inclusion scheduled to start on September 30.
