Beurer India unveils affordable Blood Glucose Monitor Device

Beurer India Pvt. Ltd, renowned for its innovative electric healthtech devices, has made a significant announcement with the launch of a new blood glucose monitor device priced at an affordable ₹1,200. Scheduled to hit the market shelves by September 2024, this development marks a crucial step in the company’s mission to provide accessible healthcare solutions to Indian consumers.

In addition to introducing the blood glucose monitor, Beurer India disclosed its ambitious expansion plans, setting a target revenue of ₹100 crore for the fiscal year. With the current turnover already at ₹50 crore, the company aims to double its financial performance through strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening its distribution network and enhancing market penetration across both online and offline channels.

The company’s broader market strategy also includes the appointment of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly as its brand ambassador. Salil V.S., Managing Director and CEO of Beurer India, emphasized the significance of Ganguly’s association with the brand, stating, “Mr. Ganguly’s association with Beurer is more than symbolic. It is central to our strategy of deepening our connection with Indian consumers. His widespread respect, trust, and appeal as a sportsperson and a leader make him the perfect ambassador to enhance the visibility of our innovative health solutions.”

Beurer India, a subsidiary of the Germany-based Beurer GmbH, has positioned itself as a leading provider of medical devices, therapy equipment, and wellness products. The company’s diverse portfolio includes blood pressure monitors, nebulizers, infrared lights for pain management, smart scales, and flexible heating solutions, among others.

Highlighting the significance of India in Beurer’s global strategy, Stanley Joseph, Director of Beurer India, affirmed the company’s commitment to the market. “India is a key market in Beurer’s global strategy. We are committed to investing in the country not just through our products, but also by contributing to health education and awareness,” he stated.

The blood glucose monitor device, a pivotal addition to Beurer’s product lineup, will be manufactured and assembled in India, with 70% of its components sourced from leading technology hubs in Germany, Japan, and South Korea. Currently, Beurer India’s Mumbai and Delhi facilities primarily focus on the manufacturing of blood pressure monitors, thermometers, and nebulizers.
