Bentley Systems has unveiled the recipients of its 2025 international awards program, spotlighting outstanding achievements in infrastructure planning, construction, and operations. The awards shine a light on how engineers and project teams are using advanced software tools to drive improvements across a wide range of sectors—from transportation and energy to water systems and urban development.

Nearly 250 submissions were received this year from organizations representing 47 different countries. Finalists competed in twelve project categories. Winners were selected by an independent panel and announced during Bentley’s annual infrastructure event, which took place in Amsterdam over two days in mid-October.

The selected projects reflect creative use of digital technology to overcome complex engineering challenges. Each winning team demonstrated a measurable step forward in efficiency, design excellence, or long-term sustainability. Highlights include innovative transport systems, large-scale urban planning efforts, renewable energy infrastructure, and high-impact construction initiatives powered by intelligent design platforms.

In addition to the main awards, a special group of projects was recognized for exemplifying the core values and long-term vision of the company’s founders. These acknowledgments were reserved for efforts that not only met technical goals but also advanced broader goals around quality of life, innovation, and future-ready infrastructure. They covered a diverse range of efforts—from space-related design planning and geothermal energy to flood mitigation and mobility modeling.

Separate honors were also given for sustainability leadership and academic excellence. One project received distinction for delivering both environmental and community benefits through thoughtful design and construction methods rooted in responsible development. An educator from Australia was also recognized for incorporating advanced digital engineering tools into academic programs, helping the next generation of professionals prepare for the future of infrastructure design and management.

Bentley continues to support professionals across engineering and construction fields with technology that enables smarter planning, more efficient delivery, and better long-term outcomes for infrastructure assets worldwide. Its platform remains central to efforts that span the full lifecycle of infrastructure—from early planning and design to operations and optimization.
