BEML Limited, a leading public sector company under the Ministry of Defence, has announced that it has bagged a prestigious order from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, for the Manufacture, Supply, Testing, and Commissioning of Complete Fully Functional LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) Coaches. The total order value stands at approximately ₹1,888 crores.
The contract underscores BEML’s strong capabilities in delivering state-of-the-art rolling stock for the Indian Railways. The scope of work includes not only the manufacturing and supply of the LHB coaches but also rigorous testing and commissioning, ensuring that each coach meets the highest safety, performance, and comfort standards.
LHB coaches, known for their superior speed potential, riding comfort, and enhanced safety features, will contribute to Indian Railways’ mission of modernizing passenger train services and improving travel experience for millions across the country.
Production will be carried out at BEML’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, leveraging advanced technology, skilled manpower, and a proven track record in rail and metro coach manufacturing.
