BEML Breaks Ground on New Central Warehousing Centre in Bilaspur

BEML, a prominent Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, has officially laid the foundation stone for its new Central Warehousing Centre in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The company, based in the city, announced that the state-of-the-art logistics hub is being developed to streamline supply chain operations, reduce costs, and better serve the growing demands of its diverse customer base across BEML’s core sectors.

According to a company statement, the new facility will significantly improve customer service by ensuring the quick dispatch of essential spare parts within 24 to 48 hours of a customer’s request. The centre will be fully digitized, incorporating a barcode-based inventory system for real-time tracking, precise material storage, and optimized processing to enhance operational efficiency.

Spanning 2.63 acres, the Bilaspurcentre will play a crucial role in strengthening BEML’s logistics infrastructure. It is strategically located to support key institutional clients, including subsidiaries of Coal India, SAIL, NTPC, MOIL, Hindustan Copper Limited, and other major partners.
