Japanese firm Astroscale, specializing in orbital debris removal and satellite servicing, has partnered with Bellatrix Aerospace, an Indian start-up focused on propulsion systems. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to combine their expertise and explore opportunities in India’s expanding space sector while expanding into international markets.
“This collaboration will drive active debris removal, satellite servicing, and sustainable in-orbit mobility, ensuring a cleaner and safer space environment,” Bellatrix Aerospace stated. The agreement paves the way for Bellatrix’s entry into Japan while supporting Astroscale Japan’s expansion within India’s rapidly growing space economy.
“With India’s space sector evolving rapidly, our expertise in propulsion, combined with Astroscale’s advancements in satellite servicing and debris removal, will enable us to contribute meaningfully to global space sustainability efforts,” said Yashas Karanam, COO and Director of Bellatrix Aerospace.
