Belkin, a trusted name in consumer electronics for over four decades, has announced that its upcoming range of wireless charging devices has received official Qi2.2 certification from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This certification positions Belkin among the first accessory brands globally to launch products supporting the latest Qi2.2 standard—unlocking faster wireless charging speeds, broader compatibility, and enhanced performance.

A long-standing member of the WPC since 2015, Belkin played a key role in the development and early adoption of the new standard. As part of a select group of early manufacturers, Belkin was involved in the pre-release testing and validation of Qi2.2 products, supporting the transition to the new wireless power framework across the industry.

Belkin products undergo thorough quality, safety, and performance testing at its global headquarters and engineering hubs in China and Taiwan. With WPC-certified equipment and advanced testing facilities, Belkin evaluates everything from environmental durability to real-world performance. All upcoming Qi2.2-certified devices will be backed by the company’s industry-recognized warranty and dedicated customer support.

The new Qi2.2-compliant chargers from Belkin, set to be introduced in the coming months, promise up to five times faster wireless charging speeds* while maintaining the company’s hallmark standards for safety, reliability, and user-friendly design.

Brian Van Harlingen, Chief Technology Officer at Belkin, commented, “Our close collaboration with global standard-setting bodies like the WPC and USB-IF has helped shape the evolution of wireless charging. Earning early Qi2.2 certification underscores our ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation for our customers worldwide.”

The Qi2.2 standard, introduced by the WPC, builds upon the Qi2 magnetic power profile released in 2023. It offers charging speeds of up to 25W and introduces improvements such as better magnetic alignment for a secure connection, broader device support, and advanced safety features to protect devices and ensure reliable charging. The new standard remains backward-compatible with existing Qi-enabled products.

Headquartered in California, Belkin is a globally recognized brand offering innovative solutions in power, protection, productivity, connectivity, and audio. Founded in 1983, the company has grown from a garage startup into a global player with a presence in over 100 countries. Belkin continues to prioritize research, sustainable innovation, and the evolving needs of tech users across the world.
