Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, announced additional orders worth ₹973 crore, boosting its order book for the current financial year (FY25) to ₹9,801 crore. These new contracts, disclosed on December 23, 2024, include platform screen doors for metro systems, radars, communication equipment, jammers, seekers, upgraded submarine sonar, satellite communication terminals, test stations, spares, and related services.
Despite this order inflow, BEL has achieved 40% of its ₹25,000 crore target for FY25. With a diverse product portfolio that includes radar systems, communication solutions, night vision devices, electronic support measures, and laser range finders, BEL continues to play a vital role in the defence and electronics sectors.
BEL reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,450.9 crore for Q2 FY25, marking a 35.2% year-on-year growth. Total expenses increased by 6.7% to ₹3,299.4 crore during the same period. The company’s stock has delivered exceptional returns, with a 95% rise over the past year and a 70% increase year-to-date. In the past month alone, shares gained 5%, trading within a 52-week range of ₹159.45 to ₹340.35. BEL’s robust order pipeline and strong financial performance reinforce its position as a leading player in India’s defence and electronics industries.
