Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a Navratna defence PSU, has inaugurated its second assembly line for electronic fuzes for artillery ammunition at its Pune facility. The new assembly line was formally inaugurated by Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla, Master General Sustenance (MGS) of the Indian Army, in the presence of BEL’s Chairman and Managing Director, Manoj Jain.
BEL-Pune has been a key player in enhancing indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities, aligning with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. In response to the increasing demand for electronic fuzes, BEL-Pune has established this additional assembly line, which is now operational.
