Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, and VVDN Technologies (VVDN), a global provider of software, electronics engineering, and product manufacturing services, today announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at driving collaboration for domestic manufacturing and technology development. The partnership will significantly contribute to India’s vision of achieving self-reliance in Defence and professional electronics.
The MoU was signed to accelerate the development of indigenous design and manufacturing capabilities in new-age technology sectors, marking a milestone in the country’s pursuit of enhanced technological independence. The collaboration focuses on key areas including Wi-Fi and 5G-based networking subsystems for communication systems, software and networking solutions, radar technologies, naval systems for defence, railways, and other emerging sectors identified for strategic development.
The MoU was exchanged between Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of BEL, and Vivek Bansal, Co-Founder and President of VVDN, with the signing ceremony attended by Santosh Kumar Chauhan, AVP of Strategic Business at VVDN, Puneet Aggarwal, CEO of VVDN, and Prahalad PS, GM (Civilian Marketing) at BEL.
This strategic partnership will foster innovation and accelerate the production of advanced technologies, enabling both companies to strengthen their capabilities in the rapidly evolving sectors of defence and professional electronics. The collaboration is expected to support India’s commitment to indigenization and contribute to the country’s defence modernization and infrastructure development.
