BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has announced that it has won a contract to install circuit breakers across multiple yards and sidings within the Howrah Division of Eastern Railway. The project aims to upgrade the existing sectioning layout and minimise mainline tripping by replacing the Breaker on Main (BM) with improved circuit breaker systems. The formal letter of acceptance has been issued, and the work will span a period of twelve months.

Sharing his views on the development, Chairman Aparesh Nandi said the new order reflects the company’s continued role in strengthening key railway operations. He noted that the installation of circuit breakers will help prevent traffic disruptions caused by yard line failures, enhancing overall operational reliability. He added that the ₹60.06 million contract is a positive indicator of the growing project pipeline expected over the coming months.

Mr Nandi further highlighted that BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has consistently contributed to expanding connectivity across the country, particularly in regions such as the North East and other underserved areas. He expressed confidence that similar opportunities will emerge nationwide, supported by a steady volume of railway projects. These include EPC assignments, system upgrades, new line construction, addition of third and fourth lines, and efforts to boost speeds on existing routes. According to him, the company foresees sustained demand for such infrastructure work in the near future.
