Bajaj Auto Limited recorded a 6% year-on-year rise in revenue from operations, reaching ₹12,584 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, up from ₹11,928 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total income rose to ₹13,015 crore, while profit after tax climbed 5% to ₹2,096 crore.
The company sold 1,111,237 vehicles during the quarter, marking a slight increase of 1%. Export performance stood out, with two-wheeler exports growing 14% to 419,447 units, even as domestic two-wheeler sales declined 9% to 529,344 units.
Electric vehicles emerged as a strong contributor to revenue, now accounting for over 20% of domestic sales, compared to the low teens a year ago. The Chetak electric scooter witnessed more than a two-fold increase in retail sales, contributing significantly to overall market expansion. Bajaj also took the lead in the electric three-wheeler (L5) category, securing a 36% market share.
Commercial vehicle volumes rose 7% year-on-year to 162,446 units, with electric variants showing nearly threefold growth. Premium motorcycle brands KTM and Triumph posted a combined 20% increase in domestic sales, exceeding 25,000 units. New launches included the KTM Enduro R and Triumph Scrambler 400XC.
Despite a 50 basis point dip in EBITDA margin to 19.7% due to lower dollar realization, improved product mix and scale efficiencies helped cushion the impact. The company ended the quarter with surplus funds of ₹16,726 crore. Investments included ₹300 crore into Bajaj Auto Credit for business expansion and ₹1,525 crore into Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV, Netherlands, partly funding the KTM Austria transaction.
While rare earth magnet shortages impacted EV production toward the end of the quarter, the company’s diversified business model—driven by robust exports and a growing electric portfolio—offset weaker domestic two-wheeler performance. Bajaj Auto continues to focus on electrification, premium products, and expanding its global footprint.
