Azad Engineering announced the inauguration of its Exclusive Lean Manufacturing Facility for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) at Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad. This 7,200 sq. meters dedicated facility marks a significant milestone in Azad’s decade-long partnership with MHI. What began with a few machines has now transformed into a world-class manufacturing centre, reflecting the shared commitment to excellence between Azad Engineering and MHI.
The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated by distinguished guests, including Masahito Kataoka, Senior Vice President of GTCC Business Division, Energy System, MHI, Japan; Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of Industries & Commerce and Information Technology, Government of Telangana; Praveen P A, Director of Aerospace and defence and Director of BFSI at Government of Telangana; and Rakesh Chopdar, Chairman and CEO of Azad Engineering.
Key Highlights of the New Facility:
- Space & Employment: The facility spans 7,200 sq. meters and employs 200 skilled professionals. As the facility expands its capabilities, the workforce will grow by several hundred more, creating more employment opportunities in the region.
- Technology: The facility has cutting-edge technology to manufacture high-precision components, ensuring world-class quality for global customers.
- Integration with Azad’s Centre for Excellence: The new facility integrates seamlessly with Azad Engineering’s Centre for Excellence and Innovation, driving the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Global Manufacturing Hub: This investment strengthens India’s position as a key player in the global manufacturing sector, particularly in the aerospace and energy industries.
