Dassault Systèmes announced that Axldrone, an Indian company specializing in engineering and manufacturing drones, has adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud to enhance its design and simulation processes for a range of applications, including agriculture, cinematography, surveillance, law enforcement, military, and disaster relief.
Axldrone faced challenges in developing and manufacturing drones quickly and cost-effectively, particularly drones equipped with advanced logistics tracking and drone management technology. By integrating the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Axldrone has streamlined data management and product development, improving product quality and reducing design errors.
The platform, which includes 3DEXPERIENCE Works for SOLIDWORKS users, helped Axldrone cut design cycle times by 30% and reduce time-to-market by 20%. Additionally, Axldrone achieved a 25-30% reduction in development costs and slashed manufacturing expenses by 50%. This was made possible by using SOLIDWORKS for design, configuration, and fitment, along with SIMULIA simulation capabilities, significantly lowering costs related to physical prototyping and rework.
