AXISCADES Technologies Ltd, a prominent technology and engineering solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Dr Sampath Ravinarayanan as a Non-Executive Director to its Board. His appointment follows the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and was approved by the Board of Directors. Dr Ravinarayanan, a veteran in the Indian aerospace and defence industry, has a career spanning over 40 years.
Dr Sampath Ravinarayanan previously held the roles of CEO and Chairman of AXISCADES Technologies until 2014, where he played a crucial role in securing the Airbus Fuselage Development Centre contract and successfully led the Mirage 2000 midlife upgrade project in collaboration with Thales International and MBDA, France. He also founded Microcon Instruments and Systems in 1983, becoming one of the first private firms in India to engage in defence programs.
With rich experience in both the public and private sectors and collaborations with foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Dr Ravinarayanan brings invaluable insights to AXISCADES. In 2020, the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, honoured him with a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Upon his appointment, Dr Ravinarayanan said, “I am excited to return to AXISCADES in this new role and contribute to its continued success.
