Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global coatings company, will participate in Prawaas 5.0, India’s premier multimodal passenger mobility summit, taking place from July 9–11, 2026, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Among the key innovations on display will be its low-cure coating systems, engineered for compatibility with fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) substrates. These coatings support vehicle lightweighting initiatives that contribute to improved fuel efficiency while reducing energy consumption during the coating process, without compromising productivity, durability or finish quality.
Axalta will also highlight technologies designed to support the industry’s transition towards cleaner and more energy-efficient mobility. These include waterborne coatings that help reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, contributing to improved environmental performance during vehicle manufacturing. The company will also present heat-reflective coatings that minimise thermal load on electric buses, supporting better battery efficiency and extended operating range.
In addition, Axalta will demonstrate its comprehensive portfolio for electric bus manufacturers, covering body coatings, motor insulation materials such as wire enamels, impregnating resins and electrical steel coatings, along with specialised materials used in battery assembly. The integrated portfolio reinforces Axalta’s ability to support manufacturers across multiple stages of electric vehicle production.
