AVPL International (AITMC Ventures Ltd.), a global leader in drone technology, has partnered with the Odisha government to provide specialized short-term drone training to 420 individuals in high-demand job roles. This initiative, approved by the 12th Steering Committee of NUA-Odisha, focuses on empowering rural youth in Odisha by offering opportunities for skill-based employment in emerging industries.

The program will train 180 candidates as EV Service Technicians, 180 as Drone Service Technicians, and 60 as Drone Data Processors, in response to the growing need for skilled professionals in the drone sector. The initiative aims to bridge the urban-rural technology gap while enhancing the efficiency of the future workforce. Given Odisha’s strong agricultural sector, trained individuals can apply their drone skills to improve crop management and contribute to sustainable income generation in rural areas.

Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International, emphasized the importance of the program, stating, “We are proud to collaborate with the Directorate of Skill Development on this transformative initiative. This is a crucial step in preparing India’s workforce for the future by equipping them with the skills needed in new-age technologies. We see immense potential in rural India to drive self-reliance and sustainable growth in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

AVPL International has consistently supported skill development and job creation through numerous initiatives. The formal memorandum of understanding for this project will soon be finalized, paving the way for the launch of the training program. This collaboration highlights both the government’s and AVPL’s commitment to empowering youth with the tools they need to succeed in fast-evolving technological fields.
