AVPL International is set to launch a drone manufacturing unit in Bihar’s Bihta Industrial Area, positioning the state as a significant player in India’s drone production landscape. The facility, backed by the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), spans 16,000 sq. ft. with an investment of ₹15 crores.

It aims to manufacture up to 24,000 drones annually, catering to sectors like agriculture and contributing to the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. The project is expected to create 10,000 jobs, including 200 in-house positions, providing opportunities for youth across 11 states.

Preet Sandhuu, Founder & Managing Director of AVPL International, emphasized the broader impact, calling the facility a step toward empowering communities, fostering innovation, and advancing drone entrepreneurship. The drones will support precision farming, enhancing crop yields and reducing costs, particularly benefiting agricultural states like West Bengal, Jharkhand, and the Northeast. Bihar’s IT sector, already witnessing growing investments exceeding ₹650 crores, is set to gain momentum, with AVPL International playing a key role in job creation and technological advancement.

Founded in 2016 by Preet Sandhuu and Deep Sihag Sesai, AVPL International is a leader in agricultural innovation and drone technology, headquartered in Gurgaon. The company operates India’s largest drone training network with over 70 Skill and Incubation Hubs across 12 states.
