Avaada Group, a key player in India’s renewable energy sector, has announced a major investment of Rs 50,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh. Speaking at the MP-GIS 2025 Curtain Raiser event in New Delhi, Avaada Group Chairman Vineet Mittal highlighted the company’s long-standing association with the state, recalling the installation of a 151 MW renewable energy plant in 2013.

The latest investment will focus on solar, wind, pumped storage, and battery storage projects, primarily in the Bundelkhand and Malwa regions. Mittal emphasized the employment opportunities this expansion would generate and expressed Avaada’s intent to collaborate with local businesses. “Madhya Pradesh is not without challenges, but the government’s proactive approach ensures timely resolutions, which strengthens investor confidence,” he noted.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav extended a warm invitation to investors, emphasizing the state’s business-friendly environment. “Investment thrives on engagement with industrialists. With land costs significantly lower than in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh offers a lucrative opportunity for businesses,” he said. Yadav also highlighted various incentives designed to attract industries.

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain underscored the state’s commitment to policy-driven growth, stating that 11 new policies have been approved within a month under the ‘Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2025.’ He further revealed that a total of 20 policies are currently in place, with more expected soon.

Raghavendra Singh, Principal Secretary of the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, described Madhya Pradesh as one of the country’s fastest-growing states and urged investors to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Bhopal to explore opportunities.
