Ati Motors, a leader in AI-powered robotics, has successfully raised $20 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV) and NGP Capital, with additional support from existing investors True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Blume Ventures. This funding follows a strong quarter for Ati Motors, which saw a tripling of its order book and the addition of nine prominent clients, including Forvia and Hyundai.

Ati Motors is transforming industrial automation with its autonomous robotics, providing solutions that address the need for robots capable of performing real-world tasks with the same efficiency as human workers. The company’s Sherpa robots have been deployed across 40 major manufacturers globally, including 30% of the Fortune 500 companies, and are improving productivity and reducing downtime.

The new capital will enable Ati Motors to further develop and deploy its AI-driven robotic workforce, leveraging one of the largest and most varied factory datasets for autonomous operations. These robots are already operating in dynamic and complex manufacturing environments, delivering exceptional productivity gains and uptime.

“Since our inception, Ati Motors has aimed to create reliable, advanced robots that enhance industrial productivity,” said Saurabh Chandra, Founder and CEO of Ati Motors. “This funding will accelerate the development of our AI models and industrial autonomy platform, leveraging our real-world data to build the next generation of autonomous robots. The rapid growth we’re seeing confirms that our focus on manufacturing and purpose-built robots is the right approach.”

Shankar Chandran, Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures, commented, “Ati Motors is at the forefront of industrial automation. Their unique mix of AI and robotics, coupled with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, positions them to lead the next phase of automation in industry.”

“We’re excited to co-lead this investment in Ati Motors,” added Upal Basu of NGP Capital. “The company’s ability to deploy fully autonomous robots across various industrial environments, along with its expanding customer base, sets it apart in the automation space. Their combination of Edge AI, LIDAR, and robotics will address significant needs in manufacturing.”

The funding will also support the company’s expansion into North America and APAC, further solidifying its position as a leading provider of industrial automation solutions. Ati Motors has recently expanded operations in Mexico and is strengthening its presence in the U.S., India, and Southeast Asia, with plans to grow its North American headquarters in Detroit.

Ati Motors, known for its AI-powered autonomous mobile robots inspired by self-driving car technology, offers products such as Tugs, Bin Movers, Pallet Movers, and Lifting Platforms. The company’s flagship Sherpa Tug, capable of 3D navigation and outdoor use, has already covered over 500,000 kilometers across 50+ factories globally. With over $37 million in funding to date, Ati Motors serves major global players in sectors like automotive, aerospace, electronics, and appliances.

Walden Catalyst Ventures is a venture capital firm investing in deep-tech companies across the U.S., Europe, and Israel, and NGP Capital backs early-stage B2B companies in enterprise software, industrial tech, cybersecurity, and infrastructure. Both firms bring extensive industry expertise and resources to help Ati Motors scale its operations globally.
