Astra Microwave Products is targeting a 25% revenue growth in the next fiscal year, forecasting a revenue range of ₹1,200-1,300 crore. The company expects this growth to be fueled by a surge in global defence spending and a strong order pipeline.

Atim Kabra, Director of Strategy and Business Development, highlighted that the increasing defence budgets in Europe present significant business opportunities for Indian defence firms. “With the rise in global defence spending, it is crucial for Indian companies to strengthen their supply chains to leverage these opportunities,” Kabra emphasized.

The company anticipates order inflows to exceed ₹1,250-1,300 crore in the coming year. Of this, approximately ₹900 crore is expected to come from the existing order book, while ₹250-300 crore will be from new orders. Astra Microwave specializes in the development of radio frequency and microwave systems for both defence and space applications.

A substantial portion of the company’s order book is expected to result in steady production orders starting in the second half of FY27. Kabra also mentioned Astra Microwave’s established relationships with European firms, which may open doors for more opportunities.

While direct supply contracts with European nations depend on final order allocations, Indian companies could benefit as European defence manufacturers prioritize fulfilling domestic needs. Astra Microwave’s order book is primarily driven by defence and public sector orders, accounting for 73% of the total, followed by the space segment at 7% and meteorological orders at 8%. Exports, including international contracts, make up 12% of the order book.

In the first nine months of FY25, the defence segment contributed 78.5% to Astra Microwave’s total earnings, while the space segment accounted for 5.8%, meteorological revenue stood at 2.3%, and exports, including deemed exports, made up 12.6%. Other segments represented 0.8% of the total revenue.
