Astra Microwave JV Wins ₹255.88 Crore Defence Ministry Contract

Astra Microwave Products Ltd announced that its joint venture, Astra Rafael Comsys Pvt. Ltd., has secured a ₹255.88 crore order from the Ministry of Defence. The contract involves supplying 93 sets of software-defined radio (SDR) line replaceable units (LRUs) equipped with A kits, SBC 2 cards, and network-centric operations applications for the Indian Air Force’s Su-30 MKI fighter jets.

The contract is set to be completed within 24 months, strengthening Astra Rafael Comsys’ position in advanced communication solutions for defence applications. In an earlier statement Atim Kabra, Director of Business Development and Strategy at Astra Microwave, expressed confidence in the company’s growth, projecting an 18-22% organic increase for the fiscal year. Kabra highlighted the firm’s LEAP strategy as a key driver of potential growth, alongside a robust order pipeline.

The company is also targeting an additional ₹1,200–₹1,300 crore in new orders by the end of the fiscal year, underscoring its strong momentum in the defence sector.
