ASSOCHAM to celebrate 100 glorious years of service to India’s trade and commerce

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), is organizing its Centenary Foundation Day Celebration on 20th December 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Starting its journey in 1920, ASSOCHAM is completing 100 years of its dedicated service as one of India’s apex associations promoting trade and commerce.

To mark this grand occasion more special and aligned with India’s economic dream, ASSOCHAM has coincided its annual conference titled ‘New India: Aspiring $5 Trillion Economy’ on the day.

The day-long conference will feature a series of special sessions marked with the addresses by key central ministers who are integral to the fruition of India’s $5 trillion economic dream.

The programme will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who is the Chief Guest of the programme.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the August gathering on ‘Laying the Roadmap for the $5 Trillion Economy’, followed by Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, who will throw light on a special topic – ‘$5 Trillion Economy Will Require India’s Own Growth Model’.

Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry will throw light on ‘Strengthening India’s Global Position while Shri Niting Gadkari, Road Transport & Highways and MSME will discuss the way to ‘Driving India’s Growth Engines, MSMEs and Infrastructure’.

Union Minister for Law and Justice Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad will take up the necessity and implementation of a strong regulatory framework in ‘Creating a Vibrant Regulatory System for New India’.

In a highly thought-provoking roundtable discussion chaired by Smt. Smriti Irani with other women MPs and CEOs the conference will also highlight ‘The Role of women in new India: A Roadmap to $5 Trillion Economy’.
