ASM Technologies Ltd has announced a strategic investment and partnership with Myelin Foundry Private Limited to introduce advanced edge-based artificial intelligence solutions into industrial manufacturing environments. ASM has signed definitive agreements to invest about ₹48 crore for a 20 percent stake in Myelin Foundry.

The collaboration is aimed at addressing the growing need for real-time insights and equipment reliability across sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, solar energy, and engineering. By combining Myelin’s AI technology with ASM’s engineering design-led manufacturing capabilities, the companies plan to deliver smarter, data-driven industrial systems.

Unlike traditional AI applications that rely heavily on data centres, the partnership focuses on edge computing—processing data directly on machines. This approach is expected to improve predictive maintenance by identifying issues before they lead to breakdowns, reducing unplanned downtime. It will also enable multimodal analytics by combining inputs from sensors, cameras, and sound data to monitor equipment performance more accurately.

The initiative will also provide AI-supported tools to assist operators with real-time insights, improving safety, accuracy, and productivity. Additionally, energy usage and resource allocation can be optimised through automated adjustments, helping manufacturers reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Rabindra Srikantan, Managing Director of ASM Technologies, said the investment strengthens the company’s technology base by adding advanced edge AI capabilities to its automation and manufacturing solutions. He noted that the partnership will help develop intelligent equipment for industries moving toward more connected and automated production systems.

Gopichand Katragadda, Founder and CEO of Myelin Foundry, said industrial AI must perform reliably in real-world factory conditions where decisions must be made instantly. He added that the investment will help scale Myelin’s multimodal AI platforms across global manufacturing environments and demonstrate the benefits of machine-level intelligence.

ASM Technologies is a publicly listed engineering services company with more than three decades of experience in engineering design-led manufacturing. The company operates delivery centres across India and has a presence in the United States, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Canada, and Mexico.

Myelin Foundry is a deep-tech AI company focused on edge-native artificial intelligence platforms designed for low-latency, secure environments. Its solutions are used across industrial, automotive, and media sectors to provide advanced analytics and real-time insights. The partnership marks a step toward more intelligent, efficient, and connected manufacturing operations driven by AI at the factory level.
